I am 30 years old and not dead yet. I write fanfic and fiction and am terrible about replying to emails. I live in Wrigleyville in Chicago, in a flat that's bigger on the inside. I spend a lot of time at my former flat with my former roommate R, a local blues musician and Wheel of Fortune master. We make our own fun.

On October first, 2008, my journal was hacked and all my entries for the five years previous were deleted. I've managed to resurrect about 80%, but the comments are gone forever. If you stumble across an old entry, that's why none of them have comments.

I will try to cook or eat anything I can afford at least once and some things several thousand times just to be sure. I am a maskmaker, photographer, writer, and scenic designer. I currently work as a ninja office boy on the nineteenth floor of a Loop office building. My colleagues, BossBoss and Coworker Fail, keep me entertained. My family lives in Texas and consists of my mother and sister, my stepfather Lucky, and his mother Mama Tickey.

I am an omnitheist, but my current bhakti is to Ganesh, the god of easing the path. My patron saints are Dysmas the Thief and Thomas the Apostle. I trained in the profession of Dionysos and I steampunk like Verne.

My journal is informally known as Sam's Cafe and is read by people of many religions, political beliefs, and ethnic backgrounds. Whatever your beliefs, you are welcome here so long as you remain polite. Come in, sit down, and have a pastry. I made them myself.
